Juggling
Horse
Juggling horse can be used as a warm up
or during transitions between drills at practices.
Objective: Improve players' touch on
the ball and their juggling skills.
Directions:
Players pair up with a partner to
compete against, and decide who goes first. The player who goes
first is "in control," and gets to call their shot, like
in basketball "horse"). For example: right thigh,
left thigh, head, catch (within the guidelines set by the coach)!
The player who called their shot must
complete the task on their 1st attempt. If their attempt is
successful, the opponent must complete the challenge on their 1st
attempt as well or a letter is given. (letters are given when the
player who is not in control fails to complete the challenge on their
1st attempt. Letters are awarded one at a time until the word
horse is spelled.
When an attempt is failed by the player
who called the shot, no point (letter) is awarded. The next player
simply gets to call their shot (has control). If the player in
control never fails an attempt, they never lose control.
When an attempt is failed by the player
not in control, they are awarded a letter and still do not have control.
The 1st player to spell the word horse
is the loser!
Once one of the pairs of players has a
loser, all the players are to select anew partner to pair up with and a
new game begins. The players with the least letters in their game
are considered winners and the players with the most letters in their
game are considered losers. Winners pair up with other winners,
and losers pair up with other losers! |
